Honda Two-Wheelers India launched its Activa Smarter variant Honda Activa Smart this week and now Hero MotoCorp’s new scooter Hero Maestro Xoom is all set to launch on January 30. Currently, several variants of the Maestro are being sold and now one more new variant is coming, which will feature a lot of new features.
The teaser released by Hero MotoCorp for its upcoming scooter reveals that the Maestro Xoom will feature dual tone front apron, LED headlamps with X insignia, handlebar integrated turn indicators, redesigned taillamps, digital display with XTec connected features, instrument cluster . Bluetooth connectivity, USB phone charger, turn-by-turn navigation notification, odometer, start/stop function and trip meter will be seen.
According to media reports, the Hero Maestro Xoom will be offered in 3 variants namely LX, VX and ZX, with the ZX variant featuring disc brakes and front axle. After that, all other variants will see a composite braking system. Maestro Xoom will measure 1881mm in length, 731mm in width and 1117mm in height. The wheelbase of this scooter will be 1300mm. At the same time it will have 12-inch front and rear wheels.
The Hero Maestro Xoom will be powered by a 110.9cc engine, which delivers 8 bhp of power and 8.7Nm of pickup torque. The scooter will be equipped with the company’s i3S technology. There will be a CVT gearbox. It will have telescopic front upforks and a conventional shock absorber at the rear. Hero Maestro Xoom will cost more than Maestro Edge. Currently the Maestro Edge has two variants Drum and Disc, priced at Rs 66,820 and Rs. 73,498 (ex-showroom).
